Review a freelancer's final work and close out the project
Check the delivery against what was agreed, send clear feedback, and close out files, rights, payments, and access.
The prompt
Help me review a freelancer's final delivery, give useful feedback, and close out the project properly. This is step 5 of the 'Hire and work with a freelancer' pack; paste the statement of work from step 3 so we can check against it.
Deliverables received: [LIST or description]
Acceptance criteria we agreed: [PASTE, or summarize]
What I'm happy with: [DETAILS]
What isn't right: [DETAILS]
Payment status: [what's paid, what's due]
Would I work with them again? [yes / maybe / no]
Step 3 output (optional): [PASTE]
Return:
1. A review checklist covering each acceptance criterion: met / not met / unclear.
2. A feedback message that's specific about what to fix, tied to the agreed scope, and separates in-scope fixes from new requests that may need a new quote.
3. A close-out checklist: final and source files received, ownership or license confirmed in writing, invoices paid, access and passwords revoked, project documents archived.
4. A short, honest review or testimonial I could leave if they did good work.
5. A brief retrospective: what to repeat or change in my brief and process next time.
If there's a dispute over quality or payment, suggest calm next steps and recommend getting advice before withholding payment, since the contract and local law apply.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
