The prompt
Mine these customer reviews, survey answers, or interview notes for voice-of-customer language I can use in my copy.
Product or service: [WHAT]
Source text: [PASTE REVIEWS, SURVEY RESPONSES, SUPPORT TICKETS, OR CALL NOTES]
Copy I'm working on: [e.g. "homepage", "ad campaign", "sales email"]
Competitor reviews (optional): [PASTE]
Extract and group, using customers' exact words (quote them; do not paraphrase into marketing-speak):
1. Pains and frustrations before buying.
2. Desired outcomes and "after" states.
3. Triggers: what made them start looking.
4. Objections and hesitations they had.
5. Moments of delight and specific results they mention.
6. Words and metaphors they use for the problem (vs. the words we use).
Return:
- A table: | Theme | Exact customer phrase | How often it appears | Copy use (headline, subhead, bullet, objection handling) |
- 10 headline or hook drafts built from the strongest phrases.
- The top 3 objections with suggested responses.
- Language gaps: where our current terminology doesn't match theirs.
Only quote text that appears in the source. Remove names or personal details before using any quote publicly, and get permission before using a review as a testimonial.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
