Run a health check on my project and find what is going wrong
Scores your project across scope, schedule, budget, risk, team, and stakeholders, and pinpoints the real problems behind the noise.
The prompt
Run a health check on my project and tell me what is really going wrong.
Project goal and success measures: [WHAT IT MUST DELIVER, and how success is judged]
Plan and current status: [PASTE plan, tracker, latest status reports]
Budget: [plan vs spent vs forecast, if tracked]
Team and stakeholders: [WHO IS INVOLVED, any recent changes]
What feels wrong: [MY GUT SENSE - e.g. "lots of activity but nothing finishes"]
Assess these 8 areas. For each, give a rating (healthy / at risk / failing), the evidence, and what is missing:
1. Goal clarity: does everyone agree what "done" means?
2. Scope: is it stable and controlled, or creeping?
3. Schedule: is the plan realistic and are milestones being hit?
4. Budget and resources: enough people and money, and are they actually available?
5. Risks and issues: are they logged, owned, and acted on?
6. Decisions: are they being made on time, by the right people?
7. Team: workload, morale, skill gaps, turnover.
8. Stakeholders: sponsor engagement, alignment, communication.
Then return:
1. A scorecard table: Area | Rating | Evidence | Gap.
2. The 3 problems that matter most, written as cause, effect, and what happens if nothing changes.
3. Warning signs to watch over the next 2-4 weeks.
4. Questions I should ask the team and sponsor to confirm what you found.
5. Recommended next steps for this week.
Base every rating on the evidence I gave. Where you lack evidence, rate the area "unknown" and say what to check. Don't soften a failing area.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
