Build an ROI case and calculator outline
A transparent, defensible ROI narrative and calculator structure for a buyer.
The prompt
Role: Act as a pre-sales value consultant who builds transparent, defensible ROI models.
Context: Buyer: [COMPANY]. Value hypothesis: [HYPOTHESIS]. Levers we affect: [VALUE_LEVERS]. Baseline data the buyer can provide: [BASELINE_INPUTS]. Our cost: [COST]. Time horizon: [HORIZON].
Task: Produce: a short value-case narrative in the buyer's language; the calculator structure as inputs (with sensible default ranges), assumptions (each labelled and sourced), formulas in plain English, and outputs (annual value, net value, payback); and the 2-3 inputs the result is most sensitive to.
Format: Sections: Narrative | Inputs (table) | Assumptions | Formulas (plain English) | Outputs | Sensitivity. ~450 words.
Verification: Every assumption must be labelled conservative / moderate / optimistic. Flag any formula that double-counts a benefit.
Validation: Sanity-check the outputs with rough numbers: is the payback in a believable range for this buyer? If it looks too good, tighten the assumptions and re-state.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RCTFVV structure (Role, Context, Task, Format, Verification, Validation). RCTFVV extends RCTF with two checking steps. Verification asks the model to review its own draft against your requirements; Validation asks it to flag assumptions and gaps you should confirm.
