Write a paper or conference abstract within the word limit
A tight, structured abstract that states the problem, method, key result with numbers, and implication without exceeding the limit.
The prompt
Write an abstract for my research.
Type: [journal article / conference submission / thesis / poster]
Word limit and required structure: [e.g. "250 words, Background/Methods/Results/Conclusions" or "unstructured"]
Research question or aim: [DETAILS]
Design, data, and methods: [sample, setting, approach, key analyses]
Main results, with numbers: [effect sizes, confidence intervals, p-values, or key qualitative findings]
Implication: [why it matters and for whom]
Draft or full text (optional): [PASTE]
Rules:
- Stay under the word limit; report the final word count.
- One sentence of background at most, then the gap.
- Include the main quantitative result with its uncertainty, not just "significant".
- Conclusions must follow from the results; no causal language for an observational design.
- No citations, undefined abbreviations, or claims not in the paper.
- For a conference abstract with incomplete results, describe what will be presented and mark expected results [PENDING].
Return two versions (one plain, one emphasizing the most novel finding), each with its word count, plus 5 keywords and a one-sentence lay summary.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
