Turn product features into benefits and proof points
A feature-to-benefit ladder that gives you outcome-led messaging and the proof needed for each claim.
The prompt
Help me turn a list of product features into benefit-led messaging.
Product: [WHAT IT IS]
Features: [LIST]
Audience segments: [e.g. "IT admins", "small-business owners"]
Main alternatives they use today: [competitors, spreadsheets, doing nothing]
Proof I have: [customer results, data, reviews, awards - or "none yet"]
For each feature, build a ladder:
- Feature: what it is.
- Advantage: what it does better than the alternative.
- Benefit: what the user gains (time, money, risk, status, ease).
- Emotional payoff: how it feels.
- Proof: which of my proof points supports it, or [PROOF NEEDED].
Return:
1. A table with those columns, per audience segment where benefits differ.
2. The top 3 benefits to lead with, and why.
3. Example copy: 5 headlines, 5 bullet points, and one short paragraph using the top benefits.
4. Claims to avoid until I have proof.
Use plain language and specifics. Never fabricate results or percentages.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
