Track usage rights for talent, music, and stock in a campaign
A rights register showing what every asset is licensed for, where and until when, plus renewal alerts and gaps to clear before launch.
The prompt
Help me build a usage rights register for a campaign so nothing runs outside its license.
Campaign and planned usage: [MEDIA (TV, online, social paid/organic, OOH, print, in-store), territories, start date, expected run length]
Licensed elements: [list each - on-camera talent, voiceover, music track, stock photos or footage, illustrations, location, influencer content - with the terms I have]
Union or guild status: [e.g. "talent is SAG-AFTRA under the commercials contract", "non-union", "Equity UK"]
Contracts or licenses I can paste: [RELEVANT CLAUSES]
For each element, extract or ask for:
- Licensed media, territory, term (start and expiry), and exclusivity.
- Whether paid social, whitelisting, CTV, or AI-assisted edits are covered.
- Holding fees, session and use fees, or renewal costs where applicable.
- Credit or attribution requirements and any usage restrictions (e.g. no competitor categories, no political use).
Then compare the license to the planned media plan and flag every mismatch.
Return:
1. A register table: asset | rights holder | media | territory | term start | expiry | exclusivity | renewal cost | status (cleared / gap / expired).
2. Gaps to clear before launch, ranked by risk.
3. A renewal calendar with alerts 60 and 30 days before each expiry.
4. Questions to send the talent agent, music publisher, or stock library.
Only use terms that appear in what I give you; mark anything unknown as [CONFIRM IN CONTRACT]. This is general information, not legal advice; have business affairs or a lawyer confirm before the work runs.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
