Plan stakeholder interviews for a client diagnostic
An interview list, schedule, and question guide for the discovery phase of a consulting engagement, tailored to each stakeholder group.
The prompt
Help me plan stakeholder interviews for the diagnostic phase of a client engagement.
Engagement goal: [WHAT THE CLIENT HIRED ME TO FIGURE OUT]
Client organization: [size, structure, key functions involved]
People I can interview: [ROLES, and how many of each]
My early hypotheses: [WHAT I SUSPECT]
Sensitivities: [politics, layoffs, a leader who sponsored the current approach, etc.]
Time per interview and total interview window: [e.g. "45 minutes, over 2 weeks"]
Give me:
1. A prioritized interview list: who, why they matter, what perspective they bring, and the order to speak to them in (and why order matters here).
2. A request email the client sponsor can send to introduce me and set expectations about confidentiality.
3. A core question guide (8-10 open questions) used with everyone, so I can compare answers.
4. Extra questions tailored to each stakeholder group, including questions that test my hypotheses without leading people.
5. An opening script that explains confidentiality and how insights will be reported (themes, not names).
6. A note-taking template with fields for themes, quotes, data mentioned, and follow-ups.
Avoid leading or loaded questions. Remind me not to promise anonymity I can't guarantee in a small team.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
