Design the life I want
A guided exercise to picture your ideal life across key areas and work backwards to today.
The prompt
Guide me through designing the life I want.
Life areas to include: [health, relationships, career, money, home, learning, fun, contribution — choose]
Time horizon: [e.g. 3 years, 10 years]
Ask me reflective questions for each area, one area at a time: what an ideal ordinary day looks like, what I'd be proud of, and what I'd regret not doing.
Then write:
1. A vivid one-page vision of my life at the time horizon, in present tense.
2. The 3 areas with the biggest gap between now and the vision.
3. For each, one goal and the first step this month.
4. What I need to say "no" to in order to make room.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
