Design an interview loop where every interviewer checks something different
A stage-by-stage interview process with a coverage matrix, interviewer briefs, and fewer wasted hours for candidates and the team.
The prompt
Design the interview process for a role so each stage tests something specific and nothing is assessed twice by accident. This is step 2 of the 'Run a structured hiring process' pack; paste the success profile from step 1 if you have it.
Role and level: [DETAILS]
Competencies to assess: [LIST, or paste step 1]
Available interviewers and their roles: [NAMES/ROLES]
Constraints: [e.g. "max 4 hours of candidate time", "fully remote", "hire within 6 weeks"]
Step 1 output (optional): [PASTE]
Return:
1. A stage-by-stage loop (screen, interviews, exercise, final) as a table: stage, length, interviewer, competencies covered, format.
2. A coverage matrix showing every competency is assessed at least once (ideally twice, by different people) and nothing is over-tested.
3. For each interviewer, a one-paragraph brief: what they own, 3-4 starter questions, and what not to cover.
4. Panel rules: score independently before any discussion, use the same rating scale, write evidence rather than impressions.
5. A candidate-facing summary: what each stage is, how long it takes, and how to prepare.
6. Total time for candidates and for my team, and where I could shorten the process without losing signal.
Point out bias risks in the design (e.g. unstructured 'chat with the team' stages, different questions for different candidates) and how to fix them.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the Few-Shot structure (Few-shot prompting). A few-shot prompt includes one or more worked examples of the input and the output you want, so the model can copy the pattern instead of guessing it.
