Audit my hiring process for candidate experience
A stage-by-stage review of how candidates experience my hiring process, with drop-off risks and fixes ranked by impact.
The prompt
Audit my hiring process from the candidate's point of view.
Process steps: [list every step - e.g. apply, auto-reply, screen, assessment, interviews, offer - with typical time between each]
Messages candidates receive: [PASTE templates or describe]
Feedback I have: [candidate survey results, Glassdoor or Indeed reviews, dropout data, comments]
Type of candidates: [e.g. hourly workers applying on mobile, senior specialists]
Do the following:
1. Walk through the process as a candidate. For each stage, rate: clarity of what happens next, time and effort required, communication speed, respect for their time, and accessibility.
2. Flag friction points: long application forms, account creation, unpaid lengthy take-home tasks, silence after interviews, too many rounds, scheduling back-and-forth, missing pay information.
3. Rank fixes by impact on candidate drop-off and effort to implement.
4. Rewrite the 2 weakest candidate messages.
5. Propose a short candidate experience survey (5 questions) and service levels (e.g. response within 3 business days at every stage).
Output: a stage-by-stage table, top 5 fixes, and the rewritten messages. Base findings on my data; mark assumptions clearly.
