The prompt

Help me write a comic book script. Story idea: [PREMISE in 2-3 sentences] Theme: [e.g. perseverance, friendship, identity] Readers: [age group and genre - e.g. "middle-grade adventure", "adult sci-fi"] Length: [e.g. "8-page short", "22-page issue"] Main characters: [NAMES, goals, flaws, look] Art style in mind: [OPTIONAL - describe it, don't name a living artist] First, give me: 1. A one-paragraph story summary with a clear beginning, middle, and end, and how the theme is shown through what the characters do, not stated. 2. A page-by-page outline (one line per page), with page turns placed at reveals and cliffhangers. Then write the full script in standard comic format: - PAGE X headers, with panel counts that suit the pacing (fewer, bigger panels for big moments; usually no more than 6 per page). - Panel descriptions - what the artist draws: setting, shot type (wide, close-up), character positions and expressions, key action. One moment per panel. - Dialogue, captions, and sound effects, labeled by speaker, kept short - no more than about 25 words per balloon. After the script, add notes on any panel that may be hard to draw as written, and character design notes for the artist. Keep the content right for my readers' age. If I'm teaching students, also give a one-page planning worksheet they can use for their own comic.

How this prompt is built
