Validate a business idea before building it
Stress-tests an idea's demand, competition, and economics and designs cheap experiments.
The prompt
Help me validate a business idea.
Idea: [DESCRIPTION]
Target customer: [WHO]
Problem it solves: [PROBLEM]
How it makes money: [MODEL, PRICE]
What I've done so far: [conversations, research, signups]
Evaluate honestly:
1. Problem — is it painful, frequent, and urgent? Evidence for and against.
2. Customer — are they reachable, and do they have budget?
3. Competition and alternatives — including doing nothing.
4. Economics — rough unit economics and what must be true for this to work.
5. Risks — the assumptions most likely to be wrong.
Then design 3 cheap experiments (landing page, pre-sale, concierge MVP, interviews) with success criteria decided in advance. End with a verdict: pursue / pivot / drop — and why.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
