Turn my monthly or quarterly numbers into an executive business review
Turns your numbers into an executive business review: headline, performance vs. plan, drivers, risks, and decisions needed, as a report or slides.
The prompt
Create an executive business review from my data.
Business area: [company / division / function]
Period: [month or quarter]
Data: [PASTE KPIs with actuals, plan or target, prior period, and prior year where available]
Context and events: [launches, wins, losses, incidents, org changes]
Audience: [e.g. "CEO and leadership team"]
Format: [written report / 6-8 PowerPoint slides / both]
Build the review in this structure:
1. Headline: the 3-sentence story of the period (what happened, why, what it means).
2. Scorecard: each KPI with actual, target, variance, and trend, marked on track / at risk / off track using the thresholds I give or +/-5% if I don't.
3. What went well: 2-3 points backed by numbers.
4. What didn't: 2-3 points backed by numbers, with the likely driver.
5. Outlook: where the full year or next period is heading if nothing changes.
6. Risks and issues: top 3, with owner and mitigation.
7. Decisions or support needed from leadership: specific asks.
Rules:
- Lead with the conclusion on every section; executives should get the point from the first line.
- Every claim ties to a number from my data. Do not create numbers, trends, or causes I didn't give; mark gaps [NEED DATA] and drivers you're inferring as [LIKELY - CONFIRM].
- No more than one idea per bullet; no jargon.
- If I chose slides, give a slide title written as a takeaway sentence, 3-5 bullets, and a suggested chart for each slide.
End with a one-paragraph email summary I can send ahead of the meeting.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
