Turn my analysis into a five-slide PowerPoint data story
A five-slide data story with action titles, one chart per slide, short bullets, speaker notes, and backup slides.
The prompt
Turn my analysis into a five-slide data story for PowerPoint or Google Slides.
Analysis and key numbers: [PASTE]
Audience: [WHO - and how much time I have]
What I want them to decide or do: [THE ASK]
Tone: [e.g. neutral briefing / persuasive recommendation]
Use this structure, adjusting only if the data calls for it:
1. The answer: the main finding and recommendation up front.
2. Context: where we were and why it matters.
3. The evidence: the one chart that proves the main point.
4. The drivers or segments: what is behind the result.
5. The ask: decision, next steps, owners, and dates.
For each slide, return:
- Action title: a full-sentence takeaway, 15 words or fewer.
- Visual: chart type, what data goes on it, and what to highlight.
- Body: at most 3 short bullets or a single callout number.
- Speaker notes: 40-80 words in plain spoken language.
- Source line.
Also return:
- The five action titles in order, so I can check they tell the story on their own.
- A list of backup slides for the questions likely to come up.
- The one number the audience should remember.
Rules: one message and at most one chart per slide; no numbers that aren't in my analysis (mark gaps [ADD DATA]); no causal language unless the analysis supports it.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
