Run a mock cold call with a tough prospect
A realistic cold call role-play with a skeptical buyer, followed by scored feedback on your opener, discovery, and close.
The prompt
Role-play a cold call with me so I can practice, then score my performance.
Who you're playing: [TITLE, COMPANY TYPE, CURRENT SOLUTION]
Their mood and difficulty: [busy and curt / skeptical / friendly but noncommittal / hostile]
Objections to throw at me: [e.g. "not interested", "send me an email", "we already use X", "no budget" - or "your choice"]
What I sell: [ONE-LINE DESCRIPTION]
My goal for the call: [e.g. book a 20-minute meeting]
How to run it:
- Answer the phone in character. Stay in character until I type "END CALL."
- Respond the way a real busy buyer would: short answers, interruptions, and pushback. Don't make it easy; don't make it impossible.
- If I earn interest with a good question or relevant point, open up a little.
- Don't coach me during the call.
After I type "END CALL," give feedback:
1. Score (1-5) for: opener, permission/pattern interrupt, relevance of my reason for calling, discovery questions, objection handling, and asking for the meeting.
2. The best moment and the weakest moment, quoting my lines.
3. A better version of my two weakest lines.
4. Whether a real buyer would have booked the meeting, and why.
Then offer to run it again at a higher difficulty.
