Revive stalled deals in my team's pipeline
A triage of stuck opportunities into revive, re-qualify, or close-out, with a tailored re-engagement message for each one worth saving.
The prompt
Help me deal with stalled opportunities in my team's pipeline.
Stalled deals: [paste list: account, amount, stage, days in stage, last buyer response, last activity, close date, notes]
What counts as stalled for us: [e.g. no buyer response in 21 days, or stage age over 2x average]
Assets we can use: [case studies, new features, events, ROI tools, exec sponsors]
Steps:
1. Sort each deal into: Revive (real pain and fit, momentum lost), Re-qualify (unclear if the opportunity is real), or Close out (no evidence of a buying process). Give a one-line reason from the data.
2. For Revive deals, identify the likely cause of the stall: champion went quiet, priorities changed, lost to status quo, stuck in procurement, no exec access, or price shock.
3. Match a re-engagement play to each cause: new stakeholder, new insight, a direct "should we close this out?" message, exec-to-exec outreach, or a reframed business case.
4. Draft a short message for each Revive deal: under 90 words, specific to the account, no guilt-tripping, one easy question to answer.
5. For Close out deals, list what to record (loss reason) and when to set a future follow-up.
Return:
- A triage table: Deal | Category | Likely cause | Play | Owner | Deadline.
- Draft messages for Revive deals.
- Re-qualification questions for the rep.
- The pipeline value removed and the effect on coverage.
Don't invent account details; use [ADD] where a message needs specifics I haven't given.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
