Prepare for a competitive agency pitch
A pitch strategy for winning a new client against other agencies, covering the insight, team, credentials, and the questions to expect.
The prompt
Help me prepare my agency's pitch for a new client where we're competing against other agencies.
Prospect and their brief: [PASTE the brief or summarize it]
What we know beyond the brief: [their recent campaigns, leadership changes, past agency, problems mentioned]
Decision-makers and pitch format: [WHO, how long, in person or remote]
Competitors, if known: [AGENCIES]
Our relevant work and team: [CASE STUDIES, people we'd field]
Budget and fee expectations: [WHAT'S BEEN SAID]
Give me:
1. A read of the brief: the stated problem, the real problem underneath it, and what the client is worried about but not saying.
2. Three possible strategic insights or angles we could lead with, and which is strongest.
3. A pitch structure for the time slot: opening, our understanding of their challenge, the insight, the approach, relevant proof, the team, how we'd work together, and next steps.
4. Which case studies to show and the one point each should prove.
5. Where we're likely stronger and weaker than the other agencies, and how to address the weaknesses.
6. Tough questions to expect (fees, team seniority, conflicts, timelines) with answer outlines.
7. A follow-up email to send after the pitch.
Don't invent facts about the prospect or competitors. Mark assumptions as [VERIFY].
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
