Make conversation cards for date night or dinner
A deck of fun, thoughtful questions and would-you-rather prompts that spark real conversation at the table.
The prompt
Create a deck of conversation question cards.
Who's using them: [e.g. "me and my partner of 10 years", "family dinner with teens", "friends' supper club"]
Goal: [laughs / get to know each other better / reconnect / just break the phone habit]
Depth: [light only / mix of light and deep]
Number of cards: [e.g. 40]
Topics to avoid: [ANY]
Organize the deck into 4 levels:
1. Warm-up: easy, playful questions anyone can answer in a sentence.
2. Would you rather: fun dilemmas that lead to stories, not just picks.
3. Memory and story: questions that pull out good stories ("the best meal you've ever had and why").
4. Deeper: reflective questions about hopes, values, and gratitude, for when the mood is right.
Rules:
- Questions should invite stories, not yes or no answers.
- Nothing that pressures someone to reveal trauma, finances, or secrets. Make passing on a card always OK.
- For family decks with kids, keep every question kid-appropriate and include ones kids can ask adults.
- No repeats in meaning.
Return the cards as a numbered list grouped by level, plus 3 simple ways to play (draw and answer, everyone answers, the asker guesses first) and a tip for printing them as cards.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the Few-Shot structure (Few-shot prompting). A few-shot prompt includes one or more worked examples of the input and the output you want, so the model can copy the pattern instead of guessing it.
