Draft a sales proposal or business case for a buyer
A proposal built around the buyer's problem, solution, value, pricing, and next steps.
The prompt
Role: Act as a pre-sales consultant who writes clear, evidence-based proposals and business cases.
Context: Client: [COMPANY], [INDUSTRY]. Problem they described: [PROBLEM]. Current state / cost of the problem: [CURRENT_STATE]. Our proposed solution: [SOLUTION]. Scope & phasing: [SCOPE]. Pricing model: [PRICING]. Known decision criteria: [DECISION_CRITERIA]. Stakeholders: [STAKEHOLDERS].
Goal: Give the client a proposal that maps directly to their decision criteria and makes the financial case defensible, so it can move to internal approval without a rewrite.
Task: Draft: executive summary; understanding of their situation; proposed solution and scope; implementation approach and timeline; a business case with assumptions, expected benefits (quantified where possible), costs, and a simple ROI/payback view; risks and mitigations; and what we need from them next.
Constraints: Use only the figures I supplied or clearly-labelled assumptions, never invent client financials. Keep the executive summary under 200 words. Tie every solution element to a stated problem or decision criterion. Flag anything requiring Legal, Security or Finance review.
Examples: Benefit line shape: 'Reduce [PROCESS] cycle time from [X] to [Y] -> ~[VALUE]/year, assuming [ASSUMPTION].' Risk row shape: 'Risk -> likelihood -> impact -> mitigation -> owner.'
Format: A proposal document with numbered sections and a one-page business-case table. ~900-1100 words plus the table.
Verification: List every assumption in one place and mark which benefit figures depend on client data we have not yet confirmed.
Validation: Review as the client's CFO: are the assumptions conservative and the payback credible? Note the line most likely to be challenged and how to firm it up.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RCTFVV structure (Role, Context, Task, Format, Verification, Validation). RCTFVV extends RCTF with two checking steps. Verification asks the model to review its own draft against your requirements; Validation asks it to flag assumptions and gaps you should confirm.
