Diagnose ad creative fatigue and plan a creative refresh
An analysis of which ads are wearing out and a refresh plan with new angles and a rotation schedule.
The prompt
Help me find out whether my ads are fatigued and plan what to replace them with.
Platform(s): [e.g. Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube]
Ad performance over time: [PASTE by ad and week: spend, impressions, frequency, CTR, CPC, CPM, conversion rate, CPA]
Audience size and targeting: [broad, lookalike, retargeting, estimated audience size]
Creatives currently running: [describe each: format, hook, angle, offer, how long it's run]
What has worked before: [best past ads and why you think they worked]
Analyze:
1. Which ads show fatigue (rising frequency with falling CTR and rising CPA over the same audience) vs. other causes (CPM increases from auction competition, seasonality, landing page or offer issues). Explain how you told them apart.
2. Which elements of the winners seem to be working: hook, format, angle, offer, proof.
Then plan the refresh:
- 6-8 new concepts using different angles (problem, outcome, social proof, objection-handling, comparison, founder or customer story), each with a hook line and format.
- Iterations of current winners (new first 3 seconds, new visual, new headline) vs. brand-new concepts.
- A rotation schedule and the frequency or CPA threshold that triggers the next refresh.
- How to test new creative without resetting learning on the winners.
Use only the data I share; label hypotheses as hypotheses.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
