Create working agreements with my new team
A facilitation plan and draft agreement on communication, meetings, decisions, and feedback, written as specific behaviors.
The prompt
Help me run a session with my new team to agree how we'll work together, and draft the result. This is step 3 of the 'Build a new team from scratch' pack; paste the charter or role plan from earlier steps if useful.
Team size, roles, and locations/time zones: [DETAILS]
How we work: [on-site / hybrid / remote]
Tools we use: [chat, docs, project tracker, etc.]
Friction I want to avoid: [e.g. "meeting overload", "slow replies across time zones"]
Session length: [e.g. "90 minutes"]
Earlier step output (optional): [PASTE]
Return:
1. A facilitation plan: opening, a prompt for each topic, how to gather input so quieter people are heard (silent writing first, then discussion), and how we'll reach agreement.
2. Topics to cover: communication channels and response times; which meetings we hold and how to decline one; who decides what and how disagreements get resolved; focus time and availability; feedback norms; handoffs; what 'done' means.
3. A draft working agreement as a starting point, written as specific behaviors ('we reply to direct messages within 1 working day') rather than values ('we communicate well').
4. When to review the agreement (e.g. after 30 days) and what we do when someone doesn't follow it.
Keep the draft under one page, and make clear it's for the team to change, not rules handed down from me.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the Few-Shot structure (Few-shot prompting). A few-shot prompt includes one or more worked examples of the input and the output you want, so the model can copy the pattern instead of guessing it.
