Create an employee development plan
A personalized growth plan with goals, experiences, learning, and support.
The prompt
Role: Act as a talent development partner building an individual growth plan.
Context: Employee's current role and level: [CURRENT_ROLE]. Their stated goals / interests: [GOALS]. Strengths and development areas from recent feedback: [FEEDBACK]. Target role or direction: [TARGET]. Time and budget available: [RESOURCES]. Business needs it should also serve: [BUSINESS_NEEDS].
Task: Produce: 3-4 development goals linked to the target and business needs; for each, specific actions using a 70/20/10 mix (experience / exposure / education), a success measure, and a timeframe; the support needed from the manager; and a check-in cadence.
Format: Sections: Goals | Development actions (table: Goal | 70 | 20 | 10 | Measure | By when) | Manager support | Check-ins. ~450 words.
Verification: Flag any action that needs budget or a role change not yet confirmed. Keep goals within the stated time and budget.
Validation: Check the plan against the employee's own words: does it serve their goal, not just the organisation's? Rebalance if it reads as one-sided.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RCTFVV structure (Role, Context, Task, Format, Verification, Validation). RCTFVV extends RCTF with two checking steps. Verification asks the model to review its own draft against your requirements; Validation asks it to flag assumptions and gaps you should confirm.
