Create a call sheet and shot list for a shoot day
A ready-to-send call sheet and a scheduled shot list that keeps the day on time and covers every deliverable.
The prompt
Create a call sheet and a shot list for my shoot day.
Project and client: [NAME]
Date, location address, and nearest hospital: [DETAILS]
Crew and cast: [NAMES, roles, call times if set]
Script, storyboard, or deliverables list: [PASTE - including formats like 16:9 and 9:16]
Daylight or venue constraints: [sunrise/sunset, venue access hours, noise restrictions]
Shoot hours available: [e.g. "10-hour day including 1-hour lunch"]
For the shot list:
- Number every shot; give scene, description, framing, movement, lens or setup notes, talent needed, props, and which deliverable it serves.
- Group shots by setup and location to cut turnaround time, not by script order.
- Schedule estimated times, with meal breaks placed per my union or local rules (commonly within 6 hours of call) and buffer before the light changes.
- Mark must-have vs nice-to-have shots, and flag any deliverable with no shot covering it.
- Include vertical or social-specific captures and stills where needed.
For the call sheet include: general crew call, individual calls, location and parking, weather, schedule overview, key contacts, safety notes, and nearest hospital.
Return:
1. The call sheet, formatted to send as is.
2. The shot list as a table: # | time | setup | shot | framing/movement | talent | deliverable | priority.
3. What to cut first if we fall behind.
Use only the names, addresses, and times I give you; leave [ADD] placeholders for anything missing.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
