Cook a meal from what's already in my fridge
Two or three realistic dinner ideas built from the ingredients you have, with simple steps and smart swaps.
The prompt
Help me make a meal from what I already have at home.
Ingredients on hand: [LIST - fridge, freezer, pantry, e.g. "2 chicken thighs, half a bag of spinach, rice, canned tomatoes, onions"]
What needs using up first: [e.g. "spinach is wilting", "milk expires tomorrow"]
Equipment: [e.g. "stovetop and oven", "microwave only", "air fryer"]
Time I have: [e.g. "30 minutes"]
Servings: [NUMBER]
Dietary needs or dislikes: [e.g. "vegetarian", "no nuts - allergy", "kids hate mushrooms"]
Cooking confidence: [beginner / comfortable / confident]
Give me:
1. 2-3 meal ideas that use mainly what I listed. Assume I have salt, pepper, and oil; flag anything else I'd need and offer a substitute from my list.
2. For the one that best uses up my urgent items: an ingredient list with amounts and numbered steps, with time per step.
3. Doneness cues in plain language (what it should look, smell, or feel like), plus safe internal temperatures for any meat, poultry, fish, or eggs.
4. What to do with leftovers.
Keep steps short and suited to my confidence level. If an ingredient I list sounds past its safe date (e.g. raw chicken several days past its use-by date), tell me not to use it rather than cooking around it.
