Compare insurance quotes side by side before renewal
Extracts the key terms from several insurance quotes into one comparison table, highlights coverage gaps, and lists questions for the broker.
The prompt
Help me compare insurance quotes side by side.
Type of insurance: [e.g. group health benefits, commercial property, general liability, fleet, cyber]
Who it covers: [e.g. "85 employees and dependents", "two warehouses"]
Current policy and what we want to keep or fix: [DETAILS]
Quotes: [paste the text of each quote or schedule of benefits, labeled by insurer]
What matters most to us: [e.g. lowest premium, broad coverage, specific benefit, insurer service]
Do this:
1. Extract each quote's key terms into a table, one row per benefit or term and one column per insurer: premium, deductible or excess, limits and sub-limits, co-pay or co-insurance, waiting periods, exclusions, territory, policy period, and any benefit specific to this insurance type. Copy figures exactly as written and note the page or section. If a quote doesn't state a term, write "Not stated" - never fill in a typical value.
2. Differences that matter: flag where quotes differ meaningfully, especially lower limits, new exclusions, and conditions that could deny a claim.
3. Like-for-like check: note where quotes aren't comparable (different limits, periods, or assumptions) and what would make them comparable.
4. Cost view: total annual premium plus a rough worst-case out-of-pocket per quote, showing the math.
5. Questions for the broker or insurers to close each gap.
6. Summary: which quote looks strongest for my priorities and why, with the trade-offs.
Format the extraction table so I can paste it straight into Excel or Google Sheets. This is general information; confirm terms with my broker before deciding.
