Build my first-year compliance and admin calendar
A month-by-month calendar of filings, renewals, tax dates, and admin tasks so nothing gets missed in year one.
The prompt
Build a first-year compliance and admin calendar for my new business.
Structure and location: [e.g. "LLC in Florida, selling online to customers nationwide"]
Date the business was formed: [DATE]
Tax year: [calendar year or other]
Registrations I have: [tax IDs, sales tax permits, licenses, permits - with renewal dates if known]
Do I have employees or contractors? [DETAILS]
Insurance policies and renewal dates: [DETAILS]
Other recurring tasks: [domain renewal, software subscriptions, contract renewals]
Previous step (optional): [PASTE my co-founder agreement summary, so board or partner meetings it requires are scheduled]
Do this:
1. List the recurring obligation types that usually apply to a business like mine: annual reports, estimated tax payments, sales tax returns, payroll filings, contractor tax forms, license renewals, insurance renewals, and partner or board meetings.
2. Place them on a 12-month calendar, starting from my formation date. Where you don't know the exact date, write [CONFIRM DATE] and say where to find it - don't guess.
3. Add monthly and quarterly admin habits: bookkeeping close, invoice follow-up, cash review, backup of key files, password and access review.
4. Set reminders: how far ahead each one should alert me, and who is responsible.
5. Flag the items with the biggest penalties for missing them, so I give them extra buffer.
Output: a table (Month | Task | Type | Due date | Reminder date | Owner | Done), then a short list of the highest-risk items. This is general information; confirm all deadlines with my accountant and the relevant agencies.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
