The prompt

Help me write a business case to get funding for a training program. Business problem and its current cost: [e.g. "first-year turnover 38%, about $X per replacement"] Proposed program: [WHAT, WHO, FORMAT, DURATION] Costs: [design/development, vendor fees, facilitator time, learner time off the job, travel, platform] Number of learners and timeline: [DETAILS] Expected change and evidence for it: [pilot results, benchmarks, or "none yet"] Decision maker and what they care about: [e.g. "CFO, payback period"] Structure: 1. Executive summary (5 sentences max): problem, proposal, cost, expected return, ask. 2. The problem in business terms, with current metrics. 3. Why training is part of the solution, and what else must change for it to work (manager support, process, tools). 4. Options compared: do nothing, minimal option, recommended option. 5. Full cost, including the cost of learner time, which is usually the largest and most often missed. 6. Expected benefits with conservative, likely, and optimistic estimates. Show the formulas: ROI % = (net benefits / costs) x 100, and payback period. 7. How we will isolate the training's effect (control group, staggered rollout, trend comparison) and the measures at each stage. 8. Risks and mitigations. Use only figures I provide. Where a number is missing, insert [ADD FIGURE] and say what source to use. Label all estimates as estimates.

Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.
