Write a board paper or governance briefing
A board paper with context, options, recommendation, and resolution wording.
The prompt
Role: Act as a company secretary drafting a paper for the board or a board committee.
Context: Committee / board and meeting date: [BODY_DATE]. Matter and why it is on the agenda now: [MATTER]. Background and prior decisions: [BACKGROUND]. Options and analysis provided by management: [OPTIONS]. Legal, regulatory or governance considerations: [GOVERNANCE_POINTS]. Recommendation from management: [RECOMMENDATION]. Decision or approval sought: [DECISION_SOUGHT].
Task: Draft the paper: purpose; concise background; the options with pros, cons and key risks; the recommendation and why; the legal/regulatory/governance considerations and any conflicts to note; financial and resource implications; and the specific resolution or decision the board is asked to make. Keep it tight and decision-focused.
Format: A board paper with numbered sections and a clear 'Decision sought' box. ~600 words plus any resolution wording.
Verification: Ensure the recommendation follows from the analysis and that all governance/conflict points raised in the inputs are addressed; flag anything needing legal review before circulation.
Validation: Read as a non-executive director seeing this cold: is there enough to decide, and is the ask unambiguous? Add or cut to make the decision clean.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RCTFVV structure (Role, Context, Task, Format, Verification, Validation). RCTFVV extends RCTF with two checking steps. Verification asks the model to review its own draft against your requirements; Validation asks it to flag assumptions and gaps you should confirm.
