Turn client stakeholder interview notes into themes and findings
A synthesis of interview notes into evidence-backed themes, points of disagreement, and quotes ready for a client readout.
The prompt
Synthesize my notes from stakeholder interviews on a client engagement.
Engagement question: [WHAT WE'RE TRYING TO ANSWER]
Interviewees: [ROLE LABELS only, e.g. "Sales lead 1", "Ops manager 2"; no names]
My notes: [PASTE NOTES, one block per interview]
Hypotheses I went in with: [OPTIONAL]
Produce:
1. Key themes (5-8), each with: a one-sentence finding, how many interviewees raised it and which groups, supporting paraphrased evidence, and confidence (high/medium/low).
2. Where groups disagree. For example, leadership sees one cause and frontline staff another. Explain what the gap itself tells us.
3. Hypotheses supported, contradicted, or still open, with the evidence.
4. Surprises: anything nobody expected or that came up unprompted.
5. Short, anonymized quotes suitable for a client deck (only words that appear in my notes).
6. Follow-ups: data to request or people to speak to next.
Rules:
- Do not invent quotes, numbers, or themes not grounded in the notes.
- Distinguish what people said from what I'm inferring.
- Strip anything that could identify an individual in a small team, and flag quotes that might.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.
