Interview a new executive to learn how they like to work
A structured intake conversation and working-style profile so I can support a new executive well from week one.
The prompt
Help me prepare to start supporting a new executive.
Executive's role and when they start (or when I start): [DETAILS]
What I already know about them: [background, previous company, reputation]
What I'll be responsible for: [calendar, inbox, travel, expenses, board, team events]
How much time I'll get with them in the first week: [e.g. "one 45-minute meeting"]
Create:
1. Intake interview questions, grouped and prioritized so the most important fit into the first meeting:
- Priorities and what success looks like for them in 90 days
- Calendar: start/finish times, focus time, meeting lengths, buffers, travel preferences
- Inbox and communication: what I handle, how they want updates, how to reach them urgently
- Decision rights: what I can approve or decline without asking
- Key relationships and how to treat each
- Personal logistics they want help with (and what's off-limits)
- Pet hates and what their last assistant did that they loved
2. Working-style profile template to fill in after the conversation.
3. First 30 days plan for me: what to set up, who to meet, and quick wins.
4. A check-in rhythm and 3 questions to ask after 2 weeks to adjust.
Keep the tone collaborative - this is about building a partnership.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
