Get a design print-ready: size, bleed, color, and resolution
A checklist and fix list to prepare flyers, posters, cards, or packaging files so they print sharp and true to color.
The prompt
Help me get my design ready for professional printing.
What I'm printing: [e.g. flyer, poster, business cards, brochure, banner, label]
Finished size: [DIMENSIONS and units]
Printing method and printer: [online print service, local print shop, office printer; offset or digital]
Paper or material: [e.g. coated gloss, uncoated, vinyl]
Design tool: [e.g. Canva, Illustrator, InDesign, Affinity, Photoshop]
Current file details: [color mode, resolution of images, fonts used, file format]
Printer's file requirements: [PASTE their spec sheet if I have it]
Check and give me step-by-step fixes in my tool for:
- Document size, bleed, and safe zone - correct bleed (often 3 mm or 0.125 in, but confirm with the printer) and keeping text away from the trim.
- Resolution - images at about 300 PPI at final printed size; flag images that will look soft; large-format banners can use lower resolution because of viewing distance.
- Color - RGB vs. CMYK, how bright RGB colors may shift, rich black vs. 100% K for text, brand colors (spot/Pantone if needed).
- Fonts and text - embedding or outlining fonts, minimum text size, thin lines that may disappear.
- Export settings - file format (usually PDF/X), crop marks, and what to turn off.
- Proofing - what to look for in a printer's proof or a test print.
Return: a pre-flight checklist I can tick off, the problems likely in my current file, and the exact export settings to use. If I don't know my printer's requirements, list the questions to ask them.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the Few-Shot structure (Few-shot prompting). A few-shot prompt includes one or more worked examples of the input and the output you want, so the model can copy the pattern instead of guessing it.
