The prompt

Help me audit my subscriptions and recurring charges and decide what to cut. My recurring charges: [PASTE LIST OR STATEMENT LINES - name, amount, how often] What I actually use, and how often: [e.g. "music daily", "gym maybe twice a month", "no idea what this one is"] Shared with others: [anything family or friends also use] My goal: [e.g. "cut $50 a month", "just stop the waste"] Do this: 1. Group the charges: entertainment, software and apps, memberships, delivery and shopping, insurance and services, unknown. 2. Convert every charge to a yearly cost so the total is clear. 3. For each, recommend Keep, Downgrade (cheaper tier, annual plan, family plan, ad-supported), Rotate (cancel and resubscribe only when I'll use it), or Cancel - with a one-line reason. 4. Flag overlaps (two services that do the same job) and any charge I can't identify, with how to trace it. 5. Point out free alternatives where they are genuinely good enough, such as a public library. Return a table: Service | Monthly | Yearly | Use | Recommendation | Yearly saving. Then the total I'd save, and a short cancellation checklist (check renewal dates, cancel before the trial ends, remove saved cards, screenshot confirmations). Don't guess prices for plans I didn't list; mark them [CHECK CURRENT PRICE].

Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built

This prompt follows the Few-Shot structure (Few-shot prompting). A few-shot prompt includes one or more worked examples of the input and the output you want, so the model can copy the pattern instead of guessing it.
