Condense our strategy into a strategy-on-a-page summary
Turns a long strategy document, deck, or notes into a single page with purpose, priorities, goals, initiatives, and what you will not do.
The prompt
Turn our strategy into a one-page summary everyone can understand and remember.
Source material: [PASTE THE STRATEGY DOCUMENT, PLANNING NOTES, SLIDES TEXT, OR OKRs]
Organization or team: [COMPANY, DEPARTMENT, OR TEAM]
Time horizon: [e.g. 2026-2028, or this fiscal year]
Who will use this page: [e.g. all employees, my team, the board]
Build a strategy on a page with these sections:
1. Purpose or mission: one sentence on why we exist.
2. Ambition: where we want to be by the end of the horizon, measurable if the source allows.
3. Where we'll focus: the target customers, markets, or products.
4. How we'll win: our 2-3 sources of advantage.
5. Strategic priorities: 3-5 at most, each with a one-line description.
6. Goals and measures: 1-2 KPIs per priority, with targets only if they appear in the source.
7. Key initiatives: the main projects under each priority, with owners if given.
8. What we won't do: the trade-offs and things we're stopping.
9. Values or ways of working, if the source includes them.
Also return:
- A version laid out as a simple table or grid I can paste into a single PowerPoint slide.
- Gaps and contradictions I should resolve (e.g. priorities with no measure, initiatives that don't link to any priority, more than 5 priorities).
Rules: keep it to one page, about 300 words. Use plain words, not slogans. Don't add goals, numbers, or initiatives that aren't in the source; mark gaps as [TO DECIDE].
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.
