Choose and order my best photos for a portfolio or photo book
Help selecting your strongest images and arranging them into a sequence that tells a story.
The prompt
Help me select and sequence photos for a collection.
What it's for: [e.g. "a family photo book of our year", "a photography portfolio website", "a small exhibition", "a camera club entry"]
Number of photos I have and need: [e.g. "60 candidates, need 20"]
The photos: [ATTACH THEM, or describe each with a number: subject, setting, mood, color or B&W]
Story or theme: [e.g. "our first year in a new town", "quiet mornings", "best of my street photography"]
Must-include photos: [NUMBERS, if any]
Do this:
1. Selection criteria for my purpose (e.g. for a portfolio: strongest and most consistent; for a family book: meaningful moments and everyone included).
2. A first cut: which to keep, maybe, and drop, with a short reason for each drop (e.g. near-duplicate, soft focus, weaker version of #12).
3. A sequence: the order, with an opening image, a closing image, and the logic that links neighbors (color, subject, time, contrast, pace).
4. Pairings for facing pages or side-by-side display, if relevant.
5. Gaps: shots missing that would complete the story.
For a photo book, also suggest page count, sections, and where short captions would help. Remind me to get permission before publishing recognizable photos of other people, especially children.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the Few-Shot structure (Few-shot prompting). A few-shot prompt includes one or more worked examples of the input and the output you want, so the model can copy the pattern instead of guessing it.
