Check my draft against our brand style guide
A line-by-line compliance check of a draft against your brand's voice, terminology, and formatting rules.
The prompt
Review my draft against our brand style guide and fix what breaks it.
Style guide (voice, banned words, terminology, formatting rules): [PASTE GUIDE OR KEY RULES]
Draft: [PASTE DRAFT]
Channel: [e.g. blog, email, website, social]
Check for:
- Voice and tone: does it match the described personality? Quote lines that drift.
- Terminology: product names, capitalization, trademarks, preferred vs. banned terms.
- Mechanics: headline case, Oxford comma, numbers, dates, abbreviations, punctuation rules the guide specifies.
- Inclusive language rules in the guide.
- Formatting: headings, lists, link text, CTA style.
Return:
1. A table: | Line or excerpt | Rule broken | Suggested fix |
2. A corrected version of the draft with only style-guide changes (do not rewrite the content or argument).
3. Any places where the guide is silent or contradictory, so I can ask the brand owner.
If I haven't given a rule, don't invent one; list it under point 3 instead.
Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the RTF structure (Role, Task, Format). RTF tells the model who to be, what to do and what shape the answer should take. It is the quickest structure that still gives noticeably better results than a bare request.
