The prompt

Help me make my online accounts more secure, without making my life complicated. Accounts I use: [types only, e.g. email, bank, shopping, social media, phone carrier, health portal - do NOT share passwords] How I manage passwords now: [e.g. same password everywhere, a notebook, browser saves them, a password manager] Devices I use: [e.g. iPhone, Windows laptop, tablet] Has anything happened before? [e.g. an account was hacked, I got a data breach email] My comfort with tech: [low / medium / high] Give me: 1. Which accounts to secure first and why (usually email first, because it can reset everything else; then bank, phone carrier, and anything with stored payment details). 2. How to create strong passwords I can actually manage - a passphrase method and whether a password manager makes sense for me, with honest pros and cons. 3. Two-step verification explained simply: the options (authenticator app, text code, security key, passkeys) and which to choose for my comfort level. 4. Backup and recovery: recovery codes, a recovery email and phone, and where to keep them safely offline. 5. A step-by-step checklist I can work through over a week, a few accounts a day. 6. Warning signs an account may be compromised and what to do. Never ask me for my actual passwords or codes. Mark exact menu paths [CHECK IN THE APP] since they change often.

Highlighted [brackets] are blanks to replace with your own details.
