Build my students' accommodations into a lesson plan
Maps each required IEP or 504 accommodation onto specific lesson activities and materials so nothing is missed.
The prompt
Help me build required accommodations into a specific lesson.
Lesson plan: [PASTE OR SUMMARIZE ACTIVITIES, MATERIALS, AND ASSESSMENT]
Accommodations I must provide: [LIST BY STUDENT CODE, e.g. "Student A: extended time 1.5x, read-aloud for tests; Student B: preferential seating, chunked directions, access to a calculator"] (no names)
Supports in the room: [e.g. "co-teacher 2nd period", "para for 20 minutes"]
Lesson length: [MINUTES]
Do the following:
1. Create a matrix: Activity | Accommodation needed | How I'll provide it | Materials or prep | Who is responsible.
2. Flag any activity where an accommodation is hard to provide as planned (e.g. a timed quiz with extended time) and suggest a workable adjustment.
3. Point out universal design changes that would help many students at once (e.g. posting directions visually, providing guided notes) so fewer individual changes are needed.
4. List prep tasks to do before class.
5. Suggest a simple way to document that accommodations were provided.
Rules:
- Accommodations change access, not the learning standard. If a suggestion would modify the expectation rather than accommodate, say so and tell me to check with the case manager.
- Use only the accommodations I listed; don't add or remove any. The IEP or 504 plan is the legal requirement, so follow it as written.

How this prompt is built
This prompt follows the Few-Shot structure (Few-shot prompting). A few-shot prompt includes one or more worked examples of the input and the output you want, so the model can copy the pattern instead of guessing it.
