## Prompt

```text
Help me write a point-by-point response to the reviewers of my manuscript.
**Journal and decision:** [e.g. "major revision, resubmit within 60 days"]
**Reviewer and editor comments:** [PASTE all comments, labeled by reviewer]
**Changes I have made or plan to make:** [NOTES per comment, with page/line numbers if known]
**Comments I disagree with, and why:** [YOUR REASONING and any evidence]
**Word or page limits that constrain changes:** [DETAILS or "none"]
Steps:
1. Split every comment into separate, numbered points (R1.1, R1.2, R2.1...). Do not merge or skip any, including minor ones.
2. Classify each: required change / reasonable request / misunderstanding / out of scope / disagreement.
3. For each point, draft a response that thanks briefly (once, not every time), states exactly what changed, and quotes the revised text with its location. Mark anything I have not done yet as [TO DO].
4. For disagreements, respond respectfully with reasoning and evidence, and offer a partial concession where possible (e.g. a new limitation sentence).
5. Flag where two reviewers ask for conflicting changes and suggest how to reconcile them for the editor.
Return:
- A short cover note to the editor summarizing the main changes.
- The response letter: Comment (quoted) | Response | Change made and location.
- A revision checklist of every [TO DO], ordered by effort.
Never invent analyses, results, or citations I have not provided; mark them [ADD] instead.
```
