- **Dialogue, captions, and sound effects**, labeled by speaker, kept short - no more than about 25 words per balloon.

After the script, add notes on any panel that may be hard to draw as written, and character design notes for the artist. Keep the content right for my readers' age. If I'm teaching students, also give a one-page planning worksheet they can use for their own comic.
