## Prompt

```text
Help me plan a craft project.
**Craft:** [e.g. "knitting", "crochet", "sewing", "quilting", "woodworking", "embroidery", "paper crafts"]
**What I want to make:** [e.g. "a beanie for my dad", "a tote bag", "a baby quilt"]
**My skill level and what I've made before:** [DETAILS]
**Size or measurements:** [e.g. "adult medium head", "crib size"]
**Pattern I'm using, if any:** [PASTE OR DESCRIBE, or "help me find what to look for"]
**Materials I already have:** [LIST]
**Deadline:** [e.g. "gift for a birthday on June 10"]
Give me:
1. A check on whether the project fits my level, and if it's a stretch, which new techniques I'll need and a simpler variation to consider.
2. A materials and tools list with estimated quantities, marked as [CONFIRM WITH PATTERN] where the pattern decides (e.g. yarn weight and yardage, fabric yardage).
3. Prep steps that beginners skip and regret: e.g. swatching and gauge for knitting, prewashing fabric, measuring twice.
4. A step-by-step plan broken into sessions, with time estimates that fit my deadline.
5. Checkpoints: what to check after key steps so mistakes are caught early.
6. Common problems for this project and how to fix them.
7. Finishing touches and, if it's a gift, care instructions to include.
Add brief safety notes where tools are involved (blades, irons, power tools).
```
